Wer hätte gedacht, dass das so schnell geht...

Die Ferrari World bekommt wohl die Achterbahnen die in Einzelteilen schon in Dubai liegen und vor sich hin verstauben... eigentlich ein toller Zufall, denn für den Park wird es sicher ein Schnäppchen gewesen sein

Premier Rides:

Die Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi hat zwei kleinere Achterbahnen aus der Lagermasse des für Dubai vorgesehenen F1-X Themenpark erworben. Beide werden vom amerikanischen Hersteller Premier Rides geliefert: Auf dem Vintage Coaster beschleunigen und bremsen die alten Rennboliden auf einem 600 Meter langen, verwinkelten Layout und brechen sogar in den Kurven aus. Die Fahrzeugdesigns sehen sehr vielversprechend aus und wurden erstmals auf der IAAPA 2009, der weltgrößten Branchenmesse zum Thema Achterbahnen in Las Vegas, vorgestellt. Bei der zweiten Anlage handelt es sich um einen kleinen Inverted Junior Coaster. Beide Achterbahnen sollen 2012 eröffnet werden.

The 4D attraction will follow the trail of a Ferrari as it winds along the famous Mille Miglia road rally and promises guests a truly multi-sensory and unique adventure. Guests will actually feel the rain, wind and aromas of the Italian countryside as they are fully immersed in the sights, sounds and scents of Italy.
The theme park will also will replace the current live entertainment production, La Gara with a news and spectacular production.

Furthermore, visitors will experience exciting themed events and spectaculars, including “Speed Week” (to tie in with the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix), Italy themed carnivals similar to the popular Italia! Italia! celebrations held in April and F1™ screenings from cities across the world. Live entertainment and performers will add further excitment to the iconic theme park’s unique collection of Ferrari themed rides and experiences.

Nächstes Jahr baut der Park wohl ein Teetassenkarussell von Mack Rides (Ferrari Red Tea Cup ride).

Das mit den beiden Coastern oben aus dem ersten Beitrag hat sich wohl erstmal erledigt (falls es jemals wirklich geplant war).

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi In Major Expansion, Plans 7 New Rides
The theme park has already started the expansion process, and aims to complete it in three years.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has revealed that it is undertaking a major expansion programme, with plans to introduce new rides, enhance existing ones and enhance retail and F&B offerings.
The theme park in Yas Island will add seven new “iconic” rides, including some that will have an “est” element (fastest / biggest/ largest), revealed Jesse Vargas, general manager, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. The park already houses Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest rollercoaster with a top speed of 240km/h.
The new rides will increase the park’s capacity by a minimum of 40 per cent, he said, refusing to divulge details about the current capacity.
Three of the existing 20 rides will also be enhanced and will undergo a “significant change,” said Vargas. “When you come and see it, it will almost be like a new experience all over again.”
Apart from the new rides, the theme park is also planning to introduce street entertainment and seasonal shows. The retail side including the F&B and merchandising sections will also be revamped, with new options set to enter the park.
Vargas also confirmed that the ambience will be re-themed in certain areas to bring in more Italian elements, reflecting Ferrari’s roots.
Another aspect of the expansion will be the introduction of new technologies to reduce the time spent waiting in queues.
“These days people are much more demanding of their time and they want to make sure that their time is well spent – they don’t want to feel like you [the park] are causing them any delays,” he said.
“So we are addressing that with innovative never-before-done initiatives that will, in many ways, make the wait-time not just short but almost erase it altogether.”
The expansion process has just started and is expected to be fully completed in three years. The first phase is slated to be ready by the end of this year, and should be operational by 2015, confirmed Vargas. Investment figures were not revealed.
Ticket prices will remain the same at present, but may be increased in the future, he added. A general admission ticket currently costs Dhs240 for adults and Dhs195 for children below 1.3m. A premium admission ticket, which allows fast track access to rides, costs Dhs440 and Dhs365 respectively.
Owned by the Abu Dhabi government and managed and operated by Farah Leisure Parks Management, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi opened in November 2010.
It has seen a steady increase in visitor numbers over the last four years, with guests including local residents and international tourists – primarily from the GCC, India, China and Russia, according to Vargas.
Footfall is expected to further grow following the opening of the neighbouring Yas Mall in November 2014, he said.

Das klingt ja nicht schlecht.
Und meiner Meinung nach hat es der Park auch dringend nötig sich zu erweitern. Den im Grunde genommen ist es eher durchschnittlich. Mir hat es da drin einfach nicht gefallen.
Sie sollten evtl. auch mal den FreeFall Turm überarbeiten

War wieder mal klar.
Jedes Mal wenn ich in einem Freizeitpark bin, dann macht spätestens im Jahr drauf ne neue Achterbahn auf.
Desert Race kam n halbes Jahr später, Blue Fire wurde ebenfalls nach meinem Besuch hochgezogen und iSpeed habe ich auch knapp verpasst. Das ist nicht sonderlich tragisch, weil ich mittlerweile natürlich die Bahnen gefahren bin, aber nerven tut es schon

Die Ferrari World hat es aber mehr als nötig, wie Toschy schon geschrieben hat, sollte man den Tower mal wieder in Betrieb nehmen, stelle ich mir durch die Aussicht ziemlich geil vor.
Die Bahnen von Maurer sind zwar durch die wenig geneigten Kurven nett, aber nach 3 mal in jeder Bahn sitzenbleiben, war auch ohne Andrang die Luft raus.
Der Rest vom Park ist meiner Meinung nach Bullshit, paar rote Flatrides und Flug- bzw Rennsimulatoren reichen einfach nicht für einen guten Park.
Zugegeben, Formula Rossa zieht mega durch und ich habe in meinem Leben noch nichts vergleichbares erlebt, aber die Fahrt ist nur bis circa 50 Meter nach dem ersten Launch krass, dann brechen die Trims dem Teil das Genick.
Klar sind die notwendig, aber der Rest vom Layout ist dermaßen langweilig, dass auch die Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit von knapp 130 KmH nichts mehr hilft.

Schauen wir mal wann das dann alles umgesetzt wird und fertig ist, weil reizen tut mich dieser Drift-Coaster schon, wobei ein Rekord natürlich auch Einiges erhoffen lässt.
