2011 Neuheit: Harry Potter Attraktion in England

Auf airtimers wurde ja schon mal über Gerüchte für eine Harry Potter Attraktion auf der Insel berichtet. Heute gab es wieder ein update, zudem ein sehr erfreuliches für alle Harry Potter Fans. Die Attraktion wird aller vorraussicht nach kommen. Viele werden jetzt sicher glauben das es sich dabei um so etwas wie bei der Forbidden Journey handeln wird, das ist aber nicht der Fall. Man baut das ganze nämlich als Studio Tour auf, da das ganze am Standort der Drehsets entstehen wird. Zukünftig könnte man jedenfalls erfolgsabhängig immer noch einen Freizeitpark mit einbauen.

Warner Brothers bestätigt englische Harry Potter Attraktion für 2012

Der “Ron Weasly” Darsteller Rupert Grint hat es zwar bereits im September ausgeplaudert (Airtimers berichtete), aber nun ist es offiziell: Warner Brothers hat die englischen “Leavesden Studios” übernommen und wird diese nicht nur als europäische Zentrale und Drehort, sondern auch für Studio Touren nutzen. Insgesamt will die US Filmfirma ca. 116 Millionen Euro in die Studios investieren und man hofft das die Attraktion bereits 2012 für Besucher zugänglich sein wird.

Bei dieser Studio Tour wird es zwar keine Rides, wie zum Beispiel in den “Universal Studios Hollywood” geben, aber dafür erhalten die Besucher einen authentischen Blick hinter die Kulissen eines echten operativen Filmstudios. Das Highlight der Tour ist die Besichtigung der Originalkulissen, Kostüme und Requisiten aus diversen Warner Brothers Blockbustern, wie “Harry Potter” oder “Batman – The Dark Knight”.

So ähnlich wird wohl auch die Studio Tour mit den HP Requisiten aussehen

Alles in allem also ein spannendes Projekt, dass vor allem Film-Fans genauer im Auge behalten sollten. Und schon alleine der zu erwartende Ansturm durch die Harry Potter Fans dürfte die “Leavesden Studio Tour” schnell zu einem finanziellen Erfolg machen. Und wer weiß, vielleicht bescheret uns dieser Erfolg in Zukunft ja noch einige Rides und Achterbahnen. Platz dafür wäre auf dem rund 70 Hektar großen Gelände allemal!

Ob das gnaze jedoch lange von Erfolg gekrönt sein wird wage ich zu bezweifeln, denn wer wird sich noch lange für Harry Potter interessieren wenn es keine neuen Filme und Bücher mehr geben wird, dann doch lieber als Theenbereich wie in Amerika

So wie ich die Autorin der Harry Potter Bücher einschätze könnte es doch sein das man sich auch nach 2012 noch dafür interessieren wird, da sie bei der Filmpremiere des 1.Teils des letzten Buches sehr komisch sich geäußert hat auf die Frage ob es nicht doch weitere Bücher geben wird...
Ihr Kommentar war nur " Wer weiß es kann alles passieren "...
Also sehe ich dem ganzen Projekt sehr positiv entgegen...

Harry Potter bleibt auch weiterhin Kult denke ich.
Warum sollte das plötzlich verschwinden? Das passiert bei vielen anderen solcher Reihen auch nicht.
Alles in allem muss ich sagen, dass das ein toller Bericht ist, da freu ich mich gleich umso mehr drauf

Also Harry Potter als Thema für einen Freizeitpark finde ich ja schon super.
Nur hier überzeugt mich das ganze nicht so wirklich.. Ist zwar bestimmt interessant, die originalen Sets zu sehen, aber wenn das alles nur wie ein Museum aufgebaut sein sollte, dann bin ich nicht so begeistert davon.... Wäre mir ehrlichgesagt zu langweilig!
Viel spannender finde ich eben die Umsetzung in Florida, aber da hat man ja auch ganz andere finanzielle Möglichkeiten...

Ich kann mir schon vorstellen, dass das Projekt Erfolg hat. In Los Angeles bietet Warner Brothers ja auch eine Studio Tour an und bei meinem Besuch war die Tour ziemlich ausgebucht. Wenn man sich ein bisschen für Film und Fernsehen interessiert ist das schon sehr sehenswert. Damals ging glaube ich gerade die Serie "Friends" zu Ende und wir hatten die Möglichkeit, nochmal ein Originalset zu betreten und auf der berühmten Couch zu sitzen. Für Fans sicherlich ein Highlight.

Wenn das Ganze noch mit Fahrgeschäften ergänzt werden würde wäre das natürlich umso besser.

Die Tour in LA ist aber im Großen und Ganzen auch nichts besonderes wenn man bedenkt das zwei Meilen weiter die Universal Studios stehen.
Sehe dem Projekt eher kritisch ins Auge.
Natürlich ist die Zielgruppe (Harry Potter Fans) vorhanden und Ausbaumöglichkeiten werden im Vorfeld auch schon eventuell offeriert, aber wird es für die breite Masse reichen???? Wir lassen uns überraschen.

Es wird wohl nicht nur Harry Potter Szenen zu bestaunen geben laut diesem Artikel hier wird wohl auch Batman the Dark Knight und Inception den Weg in den Park finden. Eröffnung soll Mitte 2012 sein.

Na das macht doch das Ganze noch interessanter. Außerdem spricht man dann eventuell noch eine breitere Masse an, als nur die Harry Potter Fans.
Bin gespannt ob da auch noch mehr im Laufe der Jahre kommt.

Warner Brothers Studios at Leavesden is set to be one of the largest production facilities in Europe

Details of a new Harry Potter tour in Hertfordshire have been revealed by Hollywood studio Warner Brothers.
The attraction, at the Leavesden studios near Watford where the Harry Potter films were made, will open in spring 2012.
The three-hour tour will feature original sets, costumes, props and effects used in all eight movies.
Among the exhibits will be the set for the Great Hall at Hogwarts School and headmaster Dumbledore's office.
Warner Brothers Studios at Leavesden, which will house the tour, is set to be one of the largest studio production facilities in Europe when it opens next year.
Josh Berger, the head of Warner Brothers UK, says it is an important studio for the company, and will be bigger than their lot in Burbank, California.
"After having worked out of Leavesden for the last 10 years and knowing our future plans it made sense to make the deal now," he said.
"The sellers were prepared to sell now, we were prepared to buy and it just made sense to do it."
The eighth and final Harry Potter film will open in cinemas in July 2011.

Tickets to go on sale for Harry Potter tours

Warner Bros has announced the first raft of operators that have been approved to sell tickets for its new Harry Potter studio attraction at Leavesden Studios, which opens next spring.

Timed, pre-booked tickets for the new Warner Bros Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter experience are due to go on public sale on 13 October.

US-based exhibition design company Thinkwell has been working on the scheme, which is set to cover more than 150,000sq ft (13,935sq m) of the Leavesden complex.

The three-hour tour will give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at how the Harry Potter films were made and will include sets, costumes, props and special effects.

Golden Tours, Superbreak, Omega Holidays, Newmarket Holidays and Leisure Breaks are the first set of operators to be licensed to sell tickets for the new studio tours.

Actor Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter, said: "People will be amazed to see the incredible environment we've worked in all these years."

Die haben ein mehr als geniales Modell vom Hogwartsschloss

Production Designer Stuart Craig was on hand today at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter to reveal one of the best kept secrets of the Studio Tour: the incredibly detailed model of Hogwarts castle used in the films.

The model was built for the first film - Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone - and has been used for exterior shots in every film since.
When all the time spent by 86 artists and crew members is added up, it took an incredible 74 years to build.
Measuring 50 feet across, it has more than 2,500 fibre optic lights to simulate lantern torches and students passing through hallways.
It even has miniature owls in the Owlery and hinges on the doors.
The castle, which was based on Durham Cathedral and Alnwick Castle, is now due to go on display as part of The Making Of Harry Potter studio tour at Leavesden Studios, near Watford.
Bafta award-winning production designer Stuart Craig designed and built the castle with the rest of his team.
He said: 'Everything to the right of the viaduct is in fact Durham Cathedral.
'But the profile has been changed so that there are tall, pointy spires so there’s plenty of theatrical exaggeration.
'It’s pretty extravagant, I have to say.'
The castle will be on display as part of the Warner Bros Harry Potter studio tour in London from March 31.
The tour promises: 'For the first time, the doors are going to be opened for everyone at the studio where it first began.
'You'll have the chance to go behind-the-scenes and see many things the camera never showed. From breathtakingly detailed sets to stunning costumes, props and animatronics, Warner Bros.
'Studio Tour London provides a unique showcase of the extraordinary British artistry, technology and talent that went into making the most successful film series of all time.
The three-hour tour will also take Harry Potter fans inside the Great Hall and Dumbledore’s office.
Visitors will also be able to step onto cobbles of Diagon Alley, walking past the the shop fronts of Ollivanders wand shop, Flourish and Blotts, the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, Gringotts Wizarding Bank and Eeylops Owl Emporium.
Iconic props from the films, including Harry’s Nimbus 2000 broomstick and Hagrid’s motorcycle will be on display alongside life-sized models of some of the creatures from the films.
Other film sets included in the tour include the Gryffindor common room, the boys’ dormitory, Hagrid’s hut, Potion’s classroom and Professor Umbridge’s office at the Ministry of Magic.
